Call for Papers: Accounting Information Systems Summer Doctoral Workshop

We are pleased to announce a Call for Papers in the domain of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) for the upcoming weekly summer doctoral work. The AIS Summer Doctoral workshop aims to provide PhD students and early-career faculties with a platform to present their research papers and receive valuable feedback to further enhance our work. More specifically, we invite PhD students and early-career faculties worldwide to submit their original, unpublished papers on various AIS-related topics. Early-stage papers are most welcome!

Workshop Details

 

Tentative Date/Time:

This summer's workshop will be conducted weekly and virtually, commencing on June 30th and running until mid-August. The sessions will take place on a weekly basis, specifically every Friday at 10:00 AM EST.  In each session, two papers will be presented, and every presentation is 45 minutes long (30 minutes for presenting the paper, 10 minutes for discussing the paper, followed by 5 minutes for Q&A.

Submission Guidelines:

We recommend submitting a full paper. Extended abstracts should be around 300 words, including research questions and data descriptions. Once again, any early-stage papers are welcome. Please circulate this call for papers to your PhD students and colleagues.

We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics related to AIS, including but not limited to:

  1. AIS Design and Implementation

  2. Internal Control Systems

  3. Audit Trails and Forensic Accounting

  4. Information Technology Governance

  5. Data Analytics in AIS

  6. Cybersecurity in AIS

  7. Financial Reporting Systems

  8. Accounting Software and ERP Systems

  9. AIS in Public Sector Organizations

  10. Sustainability Accounting Systems

  11. Emerging Technologies in Accounting

Submission Date and Process:

Please submit your paper at your earliest convenience. We will continue to accept submissions throughout the duration of the workshop. Please submit your full paper or abstract electronically via email to ais.phd.summer@gmail.com as a PDF attachment.
